Are you one of those millions of people who don’t get enough leafy vegetables in your diet?  I’m going to show you how to eat lots of raw, organic, vegetables, loaded with vitamins and minerals, and love doing it!  Believe me, this recipe isn’t the same as those salty canned vegetable juices.  You will feel like you can run a marathon after drinking this.  Your body will thank you immediately!

Ingredients: Fresh and Organic only (Makes two servings)

3 leaves of Purple Kale
2 leaves of Swiss Chard
1 celery stick
2 carrots
1/4 bunch of parsley (regular or Italian)
1 red beet

You can also add to your liking:
1 banana
6 oz vanilla yogurt

For those wanting protein after a workout
add 2-4 tablespoons of whey protein powder

Use a juicer to juice all of the vegetables.  I use the Jack LaLanne’s Power Juicer which is common in most stores where they sell small appliances.  If you use the amounts listed above you will end up with about a ½ of a coffee cup of raw vegetable juice.  Dump the pulp in your compost pile and pour the juice in your blender with about 1 cup of crushed ice.  Add the banana and yogurt and blend.  Yummy!!!!!!!    You won’t even know you are eating all those vegetables because you are drinking them down like a fruit smoothie and they taste SO GOOD!!
